Welcome to the restored farmhouse that now houses East Texas Psychology, Neuropsychology, & Wellness

Bringing this space to life was my first full renovation project and over a year-long labor of love. I learned every step along the way — through books, videos, conversations, and a lot of trial and error. What began as a very rough old farmhouse became a deeply meaningful project that grounded and healed me during a major life transition.

My hope is that the same restorative energy poured into this space can be felt by every person who walks through the door. While the interior is now complete, I’ll continue restoring the exterior in the months ahead. I’m honored to finally share this space and open it for patient care,

The first view when you step inside — the wall with the cozy couch, warm rustic touches, and artwork that sets the tone for the room. I designed it to help people feel grounded, calm, and at ease from the moment they enter.

I salvaged this corrugated metal from my grandfather’s old barn on the property. Using it here felt like a way to preserve a piece of family history and bring some authentic East Texas character into the room.

Here is the entryway door to the office, along with some additional seating and artwork — all arranged to create a welcoming and calming first impression.

Through this opening is a cozy extension of the waiting area with vintage couches and chairs. This space also connects to the kitchen area, keeping the warm, farmhouse charm intact — a welcoming spot to relax and feel at home.

Here’s a view from the extended waiting room looking back into the main entry room. I decided to keep the original shiplap wall exposed, sanding, staining, and sealing it to preserve its natural character and rustic charm.

I removed all the sheetrock from the ceilings throughout the house to expose the original wood planks. In this extended waiting room, I stained the ceiling a vintage white and painted the walls a soft blue, creating a calm, airy, and welcoming atmosphere.
